Title: 12 V VR6 Swap options?

Hi all -

I have a 97 EV with what could be a bad motor.  Finding a replacement for the AES Code engine is proving a bit tricky.  What are the options for an easy engine swap?  Can you use the engine from a Jetta of the same year for example? 

All ideas welcome!!!

Cole used BDF block with belly pan and valve cover and some other parts from axk as I remember
AES block should be the same but there will be some other parts needed.
