Show us your switches!
« on: June 20, 2015, 07:22:18 am »
Recently picked up this 1993 Eurovan Westfalia and the dash got me thinking about switches!

Show off any switches you have added and what they are for!

Here's a picture showing digital voltmeter (OLED LCD), rotary encoder to control audio volume in Parrot stereo and a switch to control  power from alternator to inverter. All mounted inside factory cigarette pack holder! Also, you can see that rear heater controls have been moved to switch area to clear space for double-din stereo.

Should more controls need to be added, ashtray space will be re-purposed next.

and what steering wheel is that? (Or just some nice cover you found for an existing wheel?)

Duh, just saw the "leather wrapped steering wheel" thread.

would be great for a walk through on some of your upgrades so we might be able to tackle smaller jobs. I was looking at more lights up front to help spot the deer on the midnight mountain hill drives, having never worked on cars only bikes this dashboard stuff is confusing :-)

a pictorial like your other projects would be a great resource.
