Sulfur Smell?

Just purchased 2001 Weekender. Van drives great but has a sulfur smell. Before bringing it to the mechanic I figured I would ask around?
-I read a few things about the auxiliary battery being the issue maybe?
*Rear lights do not work unless van is on and the cooler is not working so assuming my auxiliary battery is dead but have not had a chance yet to check.

A bit late as I’m sure you figured it out by now, but it was almost certainly your auxiliary battery- should replace it as it’s probably shot, and vent the new one.
