Tires and wheels! / Re: Mercedes CLK Wheels?
« on: April 18, 2018, 11:22:59 am »
Good example. First I've seen. Thank you!!

I'm still looking for a set to try on my T4. I've bought a set of Borbet Type Cs that I like though too. Not sure what I'll go with. Waiting for a power upgrade to put the larger tires/new wheels on......

I hope I'm not the reason you are waiting for a reply. :) Send Frans a second email. He gets lots and misses replying to a few.

I'm excited to send one to Brooklyn. :-)

Tires and wheels! / Mercedes CLK Wheels?
« on: September 25, 2017, 02:12:49 pm »
~2000 Mercedes CLK wheels are popular on Vanagons. I'm curious what they would look like on Eurovans. Particularly short nose. Anyone have any pictures with CLK wheels on a Eurovan? This is a picture of a Vanagon with CLK wheels just clarify what I'm talking of. Specs are 16X7, et 37

Exterior / Re: GW Fox Shocks.

BillyMiller, thank you for the reply. My ball joints are fairly new so I don't think that's it.

However, I think I found the issue though. I don't have too many miles on the fix but it's quiet so far. First, GoWesty's instructions were a bit weak in my opinion and I couldn't figure out what a few extra rubber washers were for. The attached picture that I found on their site yesterday helped me.... a lot. Don't leave the washers the red arrow is pointing at or you will get a squeak once the shock eye moves down to the control arm. :)

Anyone have problems with squeaks with the Fox Shocks? My front, passenger's side won't stop. I've white lithium greased it like crazy. It works for a little but then the squeak comes back...... I'm frustrated and just hoping someone has had the problem and fixed it! :-) Thanks.

Okay, needle scalers range in price drastically. Do you have a recommendation? Thanks.

Thanks guys! Vinegar is something else I haven't used. I'll have to play with both ideas next time I'm dealing with rust.

Thank you for the reply. I've used everything except a needle scaler. I might have to pick one of those up and give it a try.
