ACU engine into an AAF engine van
« on: November 18, 2015, 09:14:14 am »
I am looking into placing an ACU engine into an AAF engine van since my engine has 250k miles on it now and Cole reports its the slowest 93 of the 3 vans he has from that same year...

The ACU engine came with the 1995 campers and the AAF engine came in the 1993-95 2.5L vans.  My van is manual and the ACU I am considering is coming from an automatic van.  I would be getting the complete engine, exhaust manifold, downpipe, wiring harness, and ECU.

This will only gain a small increase in horsepower but would replace the old style exhaust manifold with a nicer (upgraded version), increase the compression ratio, and would add a knock sensor.  It should be a bolt-in but I am asking the forum members if there are any pitfalls that I am unaware of?  If so, please let me know.

Thanks,
Bill
