Title: Aftermarket Transmission Cooler Install
Post by: aquercus on August 08, 2016, 10:22:29 pm
Hey All,

Anyone know approx. how much labor it is to install an aftermarket transmission cooler like GoWesty sells? I've gotten estimates that it would cost $500-600 in labor and fluid alone?!

I've also found it hard to find a Eurovan mechanic in the LA area...

Thanks,
Alex

I think mine went in for $200.  They were working on the transmission anyway.
HOWEVER
make sure the hose clams are tight.  I had a failure after 5000 miles in which a clam slid off and sprayed my engine with fluid.  I left me stranded.
It probably makes sense to check them occasionally too.
