Thanks Cole! Totally understood. I suppose I could do this and remove/bypass the under driver seat aux battery so I can lower height and install swivel. Any thoughts on that? Sincerely appreciate your help and expertise!

Works great! I do it all the time.

Sorry for the slow reply. Things have been crazy around here. Unfortunately that has meant that I don't even get to read our own forums very much.

If you want to power the basic functions of the van you can essentially just make a plug that plugs the Yeti into the rear 12v port. It will add power to the system from that end instead of from the other end where the battery used to live.

I could sell you the bracket 😜

I didn’t keep any measurements. I just fabricated and welded  it on the fly when installing the panel.

The wheels and bolts are from a 2007+ Sprinter. No modification to the wheels needed.

I have no regrets on that van.

If you don’t have a front seat bar, add one. It transforms the van. So much more stable in wind and cornering.

The HD RV shocks at the rear got rid of the side to side rocking entering and exiting parking lots.

16 wheels with load E tires is a great option. Keeps the sidewall reasonable height and stiffer for accurate handling.

There was a bone stock Weekender that sold on Being a Trailer a few weeks ago for $42,000 and it had a bunch of missing parts.

Low miles, but worth a note.

People put far more into my custom builds and I’ve sold relatively stock vans for far more than that.

So honestly, $29,000 is a deal IMO. I actually think it’s priced too low.

We have hooked them up to the car charging system in the past. The basic issue is that the input can only be so much and the solar panels can easily max that themselves.

We have run 90-180watts on top of these vans depending on the set up. The dual set up has two 90w panels and they are chained together.

This runs a 43Q fridge non-stop without issue.

Basically all of the factory lights, outlets and fridge port run off the Yetis.

Take the vent off, take all the under hood trip offf.

That is the best tip I can give. Sorry it can’t be more detailed.

There is some rumor that the 2.5TDI manifold may work

Hey Cole,
Can you tell me how you attached these to the seat so they will slide when the bed opens? I'm a little stumped with this.... Thank you!!

I'm not even sure what you really mean by "shaking or vibration".

It's just a rear rack.  When properly secured it just sits there

The trim plate around the radio itself is a generic VW fit kit.

The lower trim is just the stock trim cut down.
