Fan installation in fiberglass roof
« on: September 07, 2016, 07:16:34 pm »
Kind of an odd question, but has anyone tried or considered installing an RV fan in the Westfalia fiberglass top near the front of the vehicle, where the ceiling of the fiberglass roof is exposed to the driver and passenger seats? Thinking something along the lines of a Maxxair or Fan-Tastic. Not that I've taken the time to measure, but I'm thinking it could be really nice to have, at least when the top is down. Not sure how it would work w/ the wires when raising and lowering the top though...

I have seen a couple vans with this done on the internet not in person. I believe you could just follow these steps. I also agree that while the top is down it would be nice to have more ventilation.
