I have been having an ongoing problem with the rough running on cold startup and also the P0171 error code, but just started to notice some hesitation and skipping to the engine while driving. I checked the codes on the scanguageII and only have the PO171. Could this be related?

Would like to let everyone know that I have replaced the oil pressure sensor and my oil light alarm issue has gone away.

Thanks Justin, yes, that makes perfect sense. The problem I am having is finding a shop that knows this vehicle. I just moved here, (Clearwater, Fl) from Boston and I'm finding it difficult to find a EV mechanic here.

Thanks, I have changed the oil and filter. Used Motul 5/40 oil and OEM filter.
My next step was to change the sensor and I have picked one up at the dealer, but not sure if I need a special tool to remove the wire connector?

Hi, I'm new to this forum and hoping to get some direction with an oil pressure alarm issue I am having.
After engine is warm and RPMs go between 1700 - 1800 I get the alarm beeping and dash light. When I give it gas and RPMs go above 1800 the alarm goes away. Everything otherwise is good - no noises or temperature increase.

General Discussion / 2002 EV - Having oil pressure alarm issue

Hi, just joined this site and hoping to get some direction with an oil pressure alarm issue I am having. After the engine is warm and driving along I will get an oil pressure alarm only when RPM is just below 1800. When I give it gas and increase the RPMs the alarm goes away. Everything appears normal otherwise.
