Installed mine today. Went well thanks to your post! Looks like it came from the factory with the cubbie.

Just got mine installed over the weekend and it worked great! Big thanks @itsamoto!

One thing I did encounter that slowed me down a bit on the install is the small peg that holds the knee bolster in at the location is shown in the attached photo.  I had followed the instructions and didn't see anything about this so I couldn't' figure out why my knee bolster wouldn't come loose when it should have. Just in case anyone else experiences this, there is a small peg that holds into the area shown with the arrow that needs to be released to get the bolster out.

Do you have any more? I would love one!
Also, I can't stand the fancy temp controls in my MV - do you think it's possible to swap them out for the lovely simple knobs you have?

The digital climate control is computer controlled (on the CAN-BUS) and has motors to move things instead of cables. So I doubt its an easy, or possible, swap. Most people would want to go the other direction. Its a far quieter system and offers far better control. For example, with the knobs you can't control the speed of the rear fan ::)

Yes, I have a few left. Send me an email to discuss.

What you're seeing here is some van owners who are posting their installed cubby -- the weekenders (w/pop top) are the simple 3 knob system as they don't have the rear AC. I too didn't like the look of the climatronic and prefer good old knobs - but having slipped into a GLS I have gotten used to it and actually it's very good -- and a great deal better than I thought given all the buttons.

Just be thankful you don't have an older van with 5 dials on the panel.  ;)

Thanks. Part of the issue with the climate control is that some of the LCD bits (don't know what they are called) are out, so the numbers are very hard to read (it's like some weird code). I suppose I could try to replace the fancy panel, but in general, I prefer knobs and dials to temperatures and buttons. Also, I hate that the default is to have the A/C on and you have to hit ECON to turn it off.

Nope, not an error code. It works fine but just a few of the dashes in the numerals don't work. I can still figure out the temperature settings by going up and down... And the little diagrams work fine.

I met up with itsamoto last week in Vancouver and he very kindly installed my new cubby for me. I love it! They are very cool - highly recommended.

Ooh - a stick shift! Is that in the states? Or Canada? Haven't seen any of those but would love it...
