Leather, supposedly OEM.

Ideally, I'd have the Touareg or Phaeton wheel with heating - but this'll have to do. It will be a huge upgrade from the plastic one in any case.

I suspect horn and airbag function will be alright.

Soon, I just got back to the van last week (this is my parent's car, I live thousands of miles away).

The issue that's holding me up is that the battery terminal is attached quite firmly.

Sorry!! Completely forgot about this thread. I'm normally only with the van a couple weeks a year.

So, the leather wheel fit perfectly, no issues with airbag, horn, or ESP. I was in the process of putting the van together after doing the HVAC fix. Normally its more assembled than that.

Not this particular part, because this wheel is for cars with ESP. I don't believe ESP was offered in '97.
